The ECOHOL project has been developed with the aim of achieving the following objectives:

The project aims to:

  1. Introduce the participants to a high-quality training material and the values of non-formal and youth education
  2. Enhance skills and qualifications of young professionals with new experiences, tools and methods
  3. Educate young professionals who are seeking employment in the tourism sector
  4. Provide them with tools to venture into social entrepreneurial initiatives and employment opportunities
  5. Promote eco-friendly policies in the tourism sector around Europe

Implementation:

  1. Dissemination activities, for the promotion of the project and its elements
  2. Managerial assurance activities, for the smooth implementation of the project
  3. Quality assurance and evaluation activities, in order to guarantee that the project will reach specific quality standards
  4. Sustainability actions, to ensure the project will remain alive even after its completion
  5. Mapped and selected sustainable tourism tools, methodologies and techniques
  6. The ECOHOL Handbook in all partner’s languages

What project results and other outcomes do you expect your project to have?

This project aims to familiarize young professionals with the term ‘sustainable tourism’, through the ECOHOL training material and innovative examples on how the transition to sustainable development in tourism can change the perception of regional, national and European agents. The tangible results of the project will be:

  1. A Handbook with training course on practices of sustainable tourism.
  2. A platform with innovating categories
  3. A policy recommendation report
